I’m in a brood mood. I’m in a brood mood so back off! My mind pummels my soul with chatter (an intense meteor shower) that lasts for minutes yet seems like hours or even days – a thick fog of smug refuses to be swept under the rug. My thoughts are thugs until I sit down to write myself off the high that has taken hold. Guessing the future and revisiting the past is not a luxury I have -- a sudden giveaway or lottery ticket cannot be my ticket as I continue ceaselessly on the way. Rob Levit 4/24/03 | Next Poem |
